Birth checklist

Administrative tasks during pregnancy and in the first few years of your child’s life. Register with ID Austria to mark the tasks as ‘Complete’.

Documents for newborn babies

After the birth of your child, you can request the first issuance of the following documents for your child:

• birth certificate
• proof of citizenship
• confirmation of registration
• e-card.

Requirements for using this service:

• ID Austria or EU Login
• Austrian citizenship of both parents
• presence of the data in the Central Civil Status Register (ZPR). If the parents are married, both spouses must be listed in ZPR.
